COLLAGE

My new collages start with an exploration of the monotype process. As I continue with the works I allow a stream of consciousness to take over. I tear images from magazines and utilize mixed media until a concept for the work crystalizes. These ideas of germs, pollution, tourism and sexuality are currently in our community’s consciousness and are current newsworthy topics. They incorporate sarcasm and humor to make the message both more veiled and easier to accept.
